The ground opens up beneath a creature you choose on the ground within range. The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be pulled underground for the duration. On a successful save, its Speed is 0 until the start of your next turn.
A creature pulled underground has the Blinded and Restrained conditions, can’t teleport, has Total Cover against attacks and other effects outside the ground, and takes 4d6 Bludgeoning damage at the end of each of its turns. At the end of each of its turns, the target repeats the save, ending the spell on itself on a success.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. You can target one additional creature for each spell slot level above 4.
