Sacred Scripture of the Church of Drahakar

And the faithful shall know when Drahakar begins to stir.

The mountains shall tremble before his claws touch stone. Rivers shall darken beneath his shadow. Ancient bones shall rise from forgotten earth, and the heavens shall remember the shape of wings they have not seen in generations.

Then shall come the Second Roar.

For Drahakar does not return as beast, nor king, nor conqueror.

He returns as judgement.

The Church teaches that the world was once ruled by strength, but mortal kingdoms grew proud. They built walls against dragons, raised crowns above ancient blood, and convinced themselves that the age of great wyrms had ended.

Drahakar shall remind them.

Cities shall bow.

Kings shall kneel.

And those who refuse shall learn that stone burns as readily as flesh beneath dragonfire.

Yet even within the oldest writings of the Church there is a warning.

When Drahakar rises, the world shall answer him.

Not with armies.

Not with kings.

With six dragons and six riders.

The Church calls them The Six False Wings, for they shall place friendship with mortals above the ancient dominion of dragonkind.

The first shall be Green.

From root, forest, and ancient earth it shall rise. Its rider will not seek glory, but will fight for home. This makes them dangerous, for one who fights for something beloved is difficult to frighten.

The second shall be Yellow.

It shall descend like a living storm, wild and terrible. Its rider shall know fear and charge regardless. Where the Yellow flies, frightened hearts shall remember courage.

The third shall be Golden.

Its flame shall be seen through smoke for miles. Its rider shall become a symbol to armies nearing despair, and wherever gold appears in the heavens, men shall foolishly believe victory possible again.

The fourth shall be Silver.

It shall not answer rage with rage.

It shall wait.

Watch.

Learn.

Its rider shall study Drahakar while others merely survive him, waiting for one mistake, one weakness, one moment when the ancient dragon believes himself untouchable.

The fifth shall be Sapphire.

From beneath the mountains it shall awaken.

Stone shall shake beneath its roar, and its rider shall become the shield of the six. When the others falter, Sapphire shall remain.

And then shall come Amethyst.

Of this dragon, even the sacred writings speak carefully.

For Amethyst shall perceive paths hidden from ordinary sight. Its rider shall learn something about Drahakar that kings, scholars, and perhaps even the Church itself have forgotten.

The scripture gives no name to this secret.

Only a warning.

Should the Amethyst Rider learn the truth before the Second Roar is completed, the fate of Drahakar may no longer belong to Drahakar alone.

And so the Church watches.

The Church searches.

Not because the faithful doubt their lord.

Because prophecy must be respected.

Before the Green grows strong.

Before Yellow learns courage.

Before Golden becomes hope.

Before Silver discovers weakness.

Before Sapphire becomes unbreakable.

Before Amethyst discovers the truth.

The six must be found.

Their riders must be known.

For the oldest scripture says that dragon and rider will not be bound by chain, saddle, spell, or domination.

They shall choose one another.

And once that choice is made, something ancient shall awaken between them.

Six dragons.

Six riders.

Twelve souls standing against the First Terror.

The Church teaches that they will fail.

It teaches that Drahakar shall tear them from the heavens one by one until nothing remains to challenge his dominion.

But there is one passage the priests seldom read aloud.

It appears at the end of the oldest surviving copy of the Book of the Second Roar.

No author is named.

No prophet claims the words.

It simply reads:

When the First Terror rises, six wings shall answer.

When six riders take the sky, the heavens shall become a battlefield.

Green shall endure.

Yellow shall defy.

Golden shall inspire.

Silver shall wait.

Sapphire shall stand.

Amethyst shall know.

And when six become one beneath a burning sky, even Drahakar shall remember what it is to fear.

This is why the Church prepares.

This is why the Church searches for the dragons.

This is why the riders must never be permitted to unite.

For the war does not begin when Drahakar awakens.

The mountains may split.

The dead may rise.

The sky may burn.

These are merely signs.

The true war begins with something much quieter.

Somewhere in the world, a mortal will stand before a dragon.

Neither will kneel.

Neither will command.

They will simply look upon one another…

and choose.

And when the first rider climbs upon the first dragon, the Church of Drahakar shall ring every bell in every holy hall.

Not in celebration.

In warning.

For from that moment onward…

The Six have begun to rise.
