You conjure a 5-foot Cube of water that swirls in a hypnotic motion in an unoccupied space within range. When the Cube appears and as a Bonus Action on subsequent turns, you can command the water to lash out in a 20-foot Emanation originating from the water. Each creature you choose within the Emanation makes a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 5d6 Bludgeoning damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a successful one.

When a creature tries to leave the area, you can force it to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, its Speed is 0 until the start of its next turn.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The damage increases by 1d6 for each spell slot level above 5.
